The story behind this design
The design borrows the shape of a vintage field-guide plate, a circle of specimens arranged as if pinned for study. Cap shapes are drawn at different angles so the eye reads them as separate species rather than a repeated stamp, and the fern fronds fill the gaps between stems. Dusty sage, ochre and oxblood keep the whole emblem in autumn tones, which is why it sits so easily on the four pale shirt colors.
