The story behind this design
The DipaliZ colorblock design borrows its vocabulary from midcentury graphic art: hard-edged blocks, arcs and wedges set against one another with no shading at all. Nothing on the cover is illustrated; the composition is made entirely out of shape and color meeting at a line. The result is graphic and a little retro, and it reads as a design object on a desk rather than as a school supply.
