The story behind this design
Colorblock works by refusing to blend: each shape is one flat color, and the only drawing in the design is where two of them meet. Here the blocks are cut at angles rather than squared to the pillow, so the geometry reads as deliberate rather than as a grid the shape imposed. Two warm colors are set against two cool ones, with a narrow neutral wedge to stop them shouting.
