About This Item
This DipaliZ dress is a sleeveless racerback dress printed all over with a retro tile pattern. Sizes run XS to 2XL. A racerback cut leaves the shoulder blades open and the straps meeting between them, so it is a summer shape rather than a layering one. The tile pattern continues over the back as well as the front.

The story behind this design
The tiles borrow from mid-century bathroom and kitchen ceramics: rounded squares, small quatrefoils and half-circles, set in a grid but drawn slightly out of true so the surface looks hand-laid. The palette is pastel, mint and apricot and pale blue over cream. Against a racerback cut, where a lot of the pattern is seen from behind, a regular grid holds together better than a scattered motif would.
