The story behind this design
Open roses repeat across the sheet in deep reds and blush pinks against a cool grey ground, which keeps the pattern from tipping into greeting-card sweetness. The blooms are painted at a generous scale, so even a small parcel shows a whole flower rather than a fragment of one. In satin the greys pick up a faint sheen and the reds deepen; in matte the same artwork reads softer and more like fabric.
