The story behind this design
A glitch effect works by separating the color channels and shifting them sideways, and this butterfly is drawn as if that had happened mid-flight. Bands of cyan and magenta slip out of register from the wing edges, leaving thin bright seams where they no longer line up. Against black the displaced channels glow rather than muddy, which is why this design is sold in one colorway rather than four.
