The story behind this design
Building the stars on a geometric grid rather than scattering them means the repeat lines up across the zip and the sleeve seams, which is the part most all-over prints get wrong. The gold is worked as a warm ochre rather than a metallic, because a true metallic cannot be sublimated onto polyester. Against the darker ground the effect is closer to a woven brocade than a printed jacket.
