The story behind this design
Round-eyed ghosts float between grinning jack-o'-lanterns on a dark ground, drawn with thick friendly outlines rather than anything gory. The orange is warm and slightly dusty instead of neon, which keeps the pair wearable through the whole of October rather than for one night. Scattering the two motifs at different sizes stops the repeat from showing as stripes when the sock stretches.
