The story behind this design
Where the mason jar painting keeps the flowers at a distance, this one moves right in: one hydrangea head, cropped at the edges of the canvas, with individual florets painted separately so the color shifts across the bloom rather than washing evenly. Blues run into violet on one side and green at the base, which is what a hydrangea actually does as the soil changes under it. There is no vase, no table and no background.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is on this canvas?
A: A single hydrangea head, painted close up and cropped at the canvas edges, with no vase or background.
Q: What is it made of?
A: A poly-cotton blend canvas on a 1.25 inch thick stretcher frame.
Q: How many sizes are offered?
A: Twenty-nine, from 6 by 6 inches up to 30 by 40 inches, including square, portrait and landscape shapes.
Q: How does it differ from the DipaliZ mason jar hydrangea canvas?
A: That one is a still life of two jars on a surface, in eleven portrait sizes. This is a single bloom filling the frame, offered in twenty-nine sizes and three shapes.
Q: Can it be hung in a bathroom?
A: Damp is hard on any stretched canvas. A hallway or a bedroom suits it better than a room that steams up daily.
Care
Dust with a dry soft cloth or brush. Keep the canvas away from direct sun and damp, and never use water or spray cleaners on the printed surface.
