Hexagon Honeycomb
About This Item
This hexagon photo tile from DipaliZ is a ceramic wall tile measuring 6 by 8 inches. Interlocking hexagons cover the face, filled unevenly so the honeycomb never settles into one flat tone. The hexagon tile is offered with a glossy finish or a matte finish. A hexagon wall tile suits home offices, kitchen splashback groupings and modern interiors. The size, finishes and material given here come from this tile's own specification.

The story behind this design
A honeycomb grid is geometrically exact and visually dull, because every cell is identical. The fix here is to keep the grid and vary what goes inside it: some cells are solid, some are outlined, some carry a gradient that runs off the edge of the shape. The result still tiles cleanly, but the eye keeps finding somewhere new to land.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is this DipaliZ ceramic photo tile?
A: The DipaliZ ceramic photo tile measures 6 by 8 inches, and that is the only size offered.
Q: What finishes are available?
A: The tile is offered with a glossy finish or a matte finish.
Q: Do the hexagons line up if several tiles are hung together?
A: The pattern is designed for a single 6 by 8 inch tile, so hexagons will not continue exactly across a gap between tiles.
Q: How does this differ from the DipaliZ chevron tile?
A: This tile carries an interlocking hexagon grid; the chevron tile in the same DipaliZ range carries banded zigzags instead.
Care
Dust the tile with a soft dry cloth and wipe the glazed face with a damp cloth, drying it afterwards; keep abrasive scourers away from the printed surface.
