The story behind this design
Where a scattered floral leaves gaps, this one fills the frame: the blooms are drawn large enough that two or three cover most of the case, and the leaves close every remaining space. The petal edges are ruffled rather than smooth, which is true to the flower and gives the outline interest. Reds and corals are laid over a near-black green so the whole case reads deep.
