The story behind this design
Setting the same blooms on purple changes the whole reading of the artwork: the cool ground pushes the warm petals forward and mutes the greens into something closer to dusk. Pinks and violets in the flowers now rhyme with the background instead of contrasting with it, so the towel holds together as one color story rather than a print on a base. The mood is richer and more evening-toned than the white version, and it sits better in a bathroom with dark tile or wood.
