About This Item
The DipaliZ Broccoli Floret matte canvas is a conceptual food print in a black pinewood frame. The image is printed on a cotton and polyester canvas composite with a matte coating, framed at 1.25 inches deep, with hanging hardware included. Four horizontal sizes are offered, from 12 by 9 inches up to 20 by 16 inches. The subject is a single broccoli floret balanced between forks, which puts it in a kitchen, a dining room or a health-minded cafe rather than a living room.

The story behind this design
A single broccoli floret is held in mid-air between fork tines, isolated against a plain ground so the vegetable's fractal head becomes the whole subject. The green is kept true rather than pushed, and the cutlery reads as bright metal lines cutting across it. The staging is deliberately absurd, which is what separates this from stock food photography: a vegetable presented with the seriousness usually reserved for a portrait.
