About This Item
The DipaliZ Coffee Cup placemat is a single 100% cotton table mat measuring 18 by 14 inches, printed on one side. The design pairs a coffee cup with the word Cafe. Cotton launders properly rather than being wiped, which matters for a mat that will collect coffee rings. The listing covers one mat, so a breakfast bar for two takes two. It also works as a desk mat beside a keyboard or as a liner in a serving tray.

The story behind this design
The word Cafe carries as much of this design as the cup does, set in lettering large enough to be read from the far side of a table. Type and image are treated as one unit rather than a picture with a caption underneath, which gives the mat the feel of a small enamel sign. Because a plate or a laptop will sit over the middle, the composition is weighted so the lettering stays visible near the edge rather than being hidden at the centre.
