About This Item

The DipaliZ Color Pencils Framed Poster is a paper art print supplied ready-framed in a black pinewood frame. The image shows coloured pencils standing upright in a pencil stand, shot close so the sharpened tips and the run of colours fill the frame. Hanging hardware is included, and the frame carries a shatter-proof plexiglass front rather than glass. Buyers choose between fine art and semi-glossy paper, and between seven horizontal sizes from 8 by 6 inches up to 40 by 28 inches.

The story behind this design

The composition is a straightforward still life of pencils gathered in a stand, and its whole effect comes from the spectrum running left to right across the tips. The palette is therefore the subject: full-strength reds, oranges, greens and blues sitting side by side with no muted tones to soften the transitions. The mood is bright and studious, which is why the piece reads naturally on a study wall or above a desk.
