The story behind this design
Mountain wildlife is set into its own habitat here rather than isolated on a plain ground, so animals, plants and ridgelines share the same frame. The palette stays in muted greens, greys and stone browns, which keeps it closer to a field guide plate than to a bright poster. Read from left to right the composition moves from foreground foliage back to distant peaks, which is why the wide format matters.
