The story behind this design
The photograph holds a sprig of rosemary close enough that the needles separate into individual blades and the woody stem stays in focus behind them. The palette is narrow and cool: grey-green needles against a dark ground, with no competing colour to pull attention. The mood is spare and culinary, more test-kitchen still life than decorative botanical, which is why it sits well near a stove or a prep counter.
