The story behind this design
Feathers overlap across the whole sheet in teal, emerald and bronze, with the eye markings falling at irregular intervals so the repeat never announces itself. The barbs are drawn fine enough that the paper keeps some of the shimmer of real plumage even in matte. In satin the metallic bronzes lift noticeably, which is why this pattern reads dressy on a wedding table and slightly peacockish everywhere else, appropriately enough.
