The story behind this design

Pink on white is the safest pairing in table linen, and on a napkin that safety is useful: the design has to sit under glassware and beside food without competing with either. The roses are drawn loosely, with leaves breaking up the repeat so a fold never lands in the same place twice. It is the companion to the pink roses placemat and coaster.
