About This Item
The DipaliZ Space Monkey poster is a cartoon astronaut print on 210 gsm satin poster paper. Three sizes are offered: 12 by 18 inches, 18 by 24 inches and 20 by 30 inches. The artwork shows a monkey in a space suit under the line Houston We Have A Problem. The satin finish keeps glare down under overhead lighting. This poster suits a games room, a workshop, a teenager's bedroom or a desk wall where a joke about things going wrong is well earned.

The story behind this design
The monkey wears the space suit badly, and that is the joke: the helmet is slightly too big, the posture is wrong for a hero shot, and the famous line is delivered deadpan underneath. The drawing style is thick-lined cartoon with flat fills and no shading, closer to a sticker than to an illustration, which keeps the humour broad rather than clever. Against a plain deep-space ground the figure stays the only thing to look at.
