The story behind this design
The artwork is built entirely from type, arranged the way a varsity or boxing-club crest would be, with the Brooklyn name given the largest weight and No Pain No Gain sitting under it as the motto line. Colour is kept deliberately flat and limited so the poster reads as printed signage rather than illustration. The result belongs in a training space, where the point of a poster is to be read across the room mid-set.
