The story behind this design

Here the fist and the sunflower are drawn as one mark, with the petals radiating straight out from the knuckles so the two shapes cannot be separated. Lines are kept even and the fill flat, which is what lets it hold up on Orchid or Violet without going muddy. Simplifying it to a single silhouette was the whole design decision.
