The story behind this design
The animals are reduced to a few confident engraved lines, which is what lets a name sit beside them without the two fighting for room. Because the engraving cuts through the colored finish to bare metal, the lettering and the creature share exactly one tone and read as a single stamped mark. On the darker colors the contrast is sharp; on Rose Taupe and Stardust it is softer and more subtle.
