The story behind this design
All three shirt colors here are saturated and dark, which rules out subtle shading, so the butterflies are drawn as flat two-tone shapes with a hard wing edge. Placing them on one side only avoids the zip entirely and gives the design somewhere to travel to. The smallest butterfly sits highest, near the collar.
