About This Item
This DipaliZ area rug is a floor rug made of 100% polyester chenille. Large flowers and leaves are printed across the pile. Six sizes are sold, and each of the three footprints comes in both orientations: 24 by 36 and 36 by 24, 36 by 60 and 60 by 36, 48 by 72 and 72 by 48 inches. Chenille yarn has short fibers bound into its core, which is what gives the surface its soft handle. The material and dimensions above are taken from this rug's own record.

The story behind this design
Scale is the whole decision here. The flowers and leaves are drawn far larger than life, so that on the biggest 72 by 48 size a single bloom can span a good part of the rug and the pattern never degenerates into busy repetition underfoot. Working large also means the shapes stay legible through a chenille pile, which softens every edge it carries. Greens and warm pinks dominate, with enough cream ground left visible to keep a room from feeling crowded.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without a rotating beater bar, which pulls at chenille yarn. Blot spills straight away rather than rubbing them in. Spot clean with cool water and a mild detergent, and let the rug dry fully before it goes back down.
