The story behind this design
Pink magnolia-like blooms sit at the center of concentric mandala rings, so the flowers and the ornament share a single symmetry rather than being layered on top of each other. The palette runs from blush through to a deeper rose with fine gold linework between the rings. Set on a square table the center of the mandala lands on the center of the cloth, which is how the design was planned.
