Each leaf is one unbroken stroke that doubles back on itself to close the shape, so the pen never lifts and no leaf has a filled interior. Sizes vary across the repeat and stems point in four directions, which keeps a single-line motif from turning into wallpaper. The whole pattern sits in one ink tone on a neutral ground, which is why the bag reads as plain from a distance and detailed up close.
