The story behind this design
Leaves overlap, and that overlap is the only depth cue a flat printed strap gets. This design stacks three leaf shapes at slightly different greens with the topmost edge left lightest, which lifts the front layer away from the ones behind it. The stems are deliberately omitted: on a band this narrow a stem reads as a scratch rather than as a plant.
