This is a velveteen plush blanket from DipaliZ, made from 100% polyester and printed with an original watercolor leopard design. The design paints whole leopards among botanical foliage rather than repeating a spotted print. DipaliZ offers three sizes: 30 by 40, 50 by 60 and 60 by 80 inches. The story behind this design
Watercolor is the right medium for a leopard because the spots can be allowed to bleed at the edges, which is closer to how a coat actually reads than a hard rosette outline would be. The animals are painted lying and looking rather than stalking, so nothing about the blanket is tense. Foliage is dropped in behind at a lower contrast, giving the leopards somewhere to be without turning the whole thing into a jungle scene.
