The story behind this design

The bell is drawn large and slightly off-center, crack included, in a worn two-tone treatment that suggests cast bronze rather than a flat graphic. The lettering curves around its shoulder. Drawing the crack rather than tidying it away was the decision that made the design work, because that mark is how the bell is recognized.
