The story behind this design
Libra is the only zodiac sign represented by an object rather than a creature, and the scales are drawn here as a simple beam with two pans hanging level. Keeping them exactly level matters: tilt them and the symbol starts to argue with itself. The glyph above is a flat line with a half circle resting on it, which reads as a horizon and echoes the beam below.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is the DipaliZ Libra Zodiac Candle personalized?
A: Yes. A name and a birth date are entered on the product page, and the wording in the photographs is a sample.
Q: What size is the candle?
A: The DipaliZ Libra Zodiac Candle is a 9oz soy candle in an amber glass jar.
Q: Which scents can I choose?
A: Eight: Christmas Warmth, Cinnamon Vanilla, Coconut Cream and Cardamom, Clean Cotton, Sea Salt and Orchid, White Sage and Lavender, Ocean Water, and Unscented.
Q: When is Libra?
A: Libra runs from late September to late October, so this candle suits an autumn birthday.
Q: Does it make a housewarming gift as well as a birthday one?
A: It can, although the label carries a name and a birth date, so it reads as a personal gift rather than a general one.
Care
Trim the wick before each burn and keep the flame away from drafts. Let the wax pool reach the edge of the jar on the first burn so the candle does not tunnel. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and stop burning once a small amount of wax is left in the base.
