About This Item
The Life Is Short Lick the Bowl Charcuterie Board is an engraved serving board from DipaliZ in acacia wood and slate. The line is engraved into the board rather than printed on it, so it survives everything a cheese night can do to a surface. Four sizes are sold, from a small cheese plate up to a grazing board. This board suits hosts, wedding registries and anyone who already owns too many plates.

The story behind this design
Engraving a line about licking the bowl into a serving board is a joke about how these evenings actually end. The lettering is cut rather than printed so it reads as a maker's mark instead of a slogan, and the acacia-and-slate pairing gives the words two different surfaces to sit against. It is a gift that expects to be used, not displayed.
