The story behind this design
Real marble photographs badly at phone-case size, because the scale is wrong and the veins turn into smudges. This design draws the veining instead, controlling how thick each line runs and where the branches fork, so the pattern still reads as stone on a surface a few inches wide. Greys stay cool and the whites stay clean, which is what keeps it from looking like camouflage.
