A pulse line is a straight rule interrupted by one spike, and that gives a designer very little to work with, so DipaliZ let the letters grow out of the spike rather than sitting beside it. The line stays a consistent weight throughout, which is what keeps the trick from looking like clip art. Light Pink is the natural home for it, but the drawing was balanced to hold up on Ash too.
