The story behind this design
Polka dot spacing is the whole craft of it: too close and the pattern turns grey from a distance, too far apart and the garment looks spotted rather than patterned. These are set at a middling interval on a true navy, so the vest still reads as navy from across a room and only resolves into dots nearer to. The V-neck cuts through the grid at a diagonal, which stops the dots looking like a printed grid.
