The story behind this design

A Breton stripe is entirely a question of proportion, and this one is drawn narrow with a wide gap, which reads as coastal rather than nautical costume. Printed all over, the bands meet at the shoulder without the break a knitted stripe would show. Navy on off-white, and nothing else on the shirt at all.
