About This Item
These DipaliZ athletic long shorts are unisex, printed all over with an ocean design. The fabric is a moisture-wicking microfiber with UPF50+ protection, and the shorts have mesh side pockets. They are made from 91% recycled polyester and 9% spandex, in eleven sizes from 2XS to 6XL. They suit swimming, paddling and beach training where a short has to dry quickly.

The story behind this design
Water is hard to print because the eye knows immediately when it is wrong. This design works in bands of depth rather than in waves: a pale shallow green at the top, a mid teal through the body, and a deep blue that darkens toward the hem, with thin lighter lines running across to read as surface movement. Because the gradation is vertical it lengthens the leg, which is an unusual thing for a print on a long short to do.
