The story behind this design
This is drawn in the manner of a nineteenth-century plant plate: one branch, laid out flat as though pressed, with the leaves turned to show both the grey-green upper side and the paler underside, and the olives given a single highlight each. Nothing is stylized for effect. The restraint is the point, because a botanical study holds up on a shelf for years in a way a bolder pattern does not.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does the DipaliZ Olive Branch Ceramic Mug come in?
A: Two sizes are offered, 11 oz and 15 oz, so choose the one you want in the size picker.
Q: What is the mug made of?
A: The DipaliZ Olive Branch mug is ceramic.
Q: Does the design run around the whole mug?
A: Yes. The olive branch artwork wraps around the body, so it reads from either side.
Q: Does this match the DipaliZ olive branch placemats?
A: They share the olive branch subject and the Mediterranean palette, so the mug and the placemats sit together on a table without matching exactly.
Q: Is this mug dishwasher safe?
A: Hand washing is the safer choice for a printed ceramic mug, since dishwasher cycles dull a printed surface faster than washing by hand.
Care
Hand wash the DipaliZ Olive Branch Ceramic Mug with warm water and mild detergent, and keep abrasive scourers off the printed area. Let it cool before washing after hot drinks.
