The story behind this design

A cut citrus slice is already a wheel of radiating segments, which is to say it is already a rosette, which is the oldest shape in card-back ornament. This design just lets the fruit do that job instead of a drawn medallion. Scattering the slices at slightly different angles keeps the repeat from locking into a grid, and the single bright orange against white needs no second colour to carry it.

Care

Keep the deck in its box and away from damp. A bright back fades in direct sunlight faster than a dark one.
