Ornate Crescent Moon coaster | Ceramic Coaster, Celestial Moon Design

The moon is the whole design on this DipaliZ ceramic coaster: an ornate crescent rendered as the single central motif, with no star field around it. The coaster is round, made of ceramic and offered in one size. Restraint is the point of this version — one figure, centred, in a circle. It suits a shelf where a busier celestial print would feel crowded.

The story behind this design

Placing one crescent alone in a circle is a harder composition than it looks, because the negative space has to carry as much weight as the figure. The ornament inside the crescent was drawn heavier here to compensate, with scrollwork filling the curve almost to its tips. The surrounding ground stays plain, which is what gives the piece its retro, plate-like calm.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What material is this DipaliZ moon coaster?
A: It is a ceramic coaster.

Q: What shape and size does it come in?
A: The coaster is round and is supplied in one size.

Q: How does it differ from the DipaliZ celestial star design coaster?
A: This version shows the ornate crescent alone on a plain ground. The celestial star design coaster adds a scattered star field around the same crescent.
