Ornate Crescent Moon coaster | Ceramic Coaster, Celestial Star Design

Stars are what set this DipaliZ crescent moon coaster apart from its sibling listing. The coaster is a round ceramic tile in one size, printed with an ornate crescent moon surrounded by a scatter of stars. Ceramic holds a crisp line, which suits a design built from fine ornament. Astrology and tarot readers tend to buy these in small sets for a reading table rather than a bar.

The story behind this design

The crescent is filled with engraved-looking ornament — fine curls and dotted line work rather than flat colour — and the stars around it vary in size so the field reads as a real sky rather than a pattern. Deep indigo carries the ground with the moon and stars in pale gold. The star scatter is the distinguishing element of this version.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is this DipaliZ celestial coaster made of?
A: The coaster is made of ceramic.

Q: What shape and size is it?
A: It is round and comes in one size.

Q: How does it differ from the DipaliZ celestial moon design coaster?
A: This is the star version: an ornate crescent set in a scattered star field. The celestial moon design listing centres on the moon ornament itself without the surrounding stars.

Q: Can it be used for hot drinks?
A: Yes. A glazed ceramic coaster handles a hot mug as readily as a cold glass.

Care

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Skip abrasive cleaners, which dull a glazed printed surface over time.
