The story behind this design
There is not a single hard edge anywhere in this print. Each flower is a blended gradient that fades into the one beside it, so what you see at arm's length are petals and what you see from the doorway is a wash of lilac, peach and mint. Working that way removes the biggest problem with pastel florals, which is that outlined ones start to look like a nursery even in a room that is not one.
