The story behind this design
Stripes on a bandeau have to be chosen carefully, because a horizontal band across a straight top edge can read as a blindfold. These are set narrow and in a sequence of soft pastels with no single dominant color, so the eye travels along the pattern instead of stopping on one band, and the same stripe continues on the V-cut bottom at the same scale so the two pieces read as a set rather than a coincidence.
