The story behind this design
Nothing in this pattern has a hard edge. Petals bleed into leaves, one wash runs into the next, and pale grey-green pools sit where two colors met while the paper was still wet. Read closely it is almost abstract; read from across a room it is unmistakably a garden. That ambiguity is deliberate.
