The story behind this design

Cut and sew construction is the only way to get a design that truly covers a garment, seams included, and this distressed flag uses that fully: the worn edges run off one panel and pick up on the next, so the weathering looks like it happened to the shirt rather than to a printed rectangle. The White stitching is left visible as a deliberate contrast against the faded reds.
