About This Item
This is a velveteen throw blanket printed with an original DipaliZ American flag design. Three sizes are sold: 40 by 30 inches, 60 by 50 inches and 80 by 60 inches. Velveteen gives the surface a short dense pile that takes printed color deeply. The largest size covers a two-seat sofa.

The story behind this design
Velveteen pile catches light differently depending on which way it is brushed, so a flag printed on it shifts slightly as the blanket is moved. The design leans into that by using broad flat color rather than fine detail, letting the fabric itself supply the texture. The retro palette keeps the reds closer to brick than to primary.
