The story behind this design
The surfwave is drawn as a single curling breaker with the lip already tipping over, worked in a chalky ink that looks pressed rather than printed. Below it the lettering sits in a wide, slightly condensed serif of the kind that used to be painted on board-shop windows. On the washed indigo shades the graphic reads almost sun-bleached, which is the effect the garment dye was chosen for.
