The story behind this design
There is not a single outline on this cover. Every flower is built from overlapping washes, so where two petals cross the color simply deepens, and the shapes are held together by tone rather than by line. Pinks, lilacs and a pale mint bleed into one another at the edges in a way only watercolor does. Because nothing is hard-edged, the printed name sits on the cover as the one crisp element, which is what makes it readable.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How is this notebook personalized?
A: You enter the name you want on the product page before ordering. The name shown in the photographs is a sample.
Q: Are the pages ruled?
A: Yes. The DipaliZ Custom Floral Watercolor Spiral Notebook has ruled pages throughout.
Q: Is there a size to choose?
A: No. This notebook is sold in a single size.
Q: Is the cover a watercolor or a line drawing?
A: Watercolor. The blooms are painted in washes with no outlines, which is what separates this from the line-drawn florals elsewhere in the DipaliZ range.
Q: Would this work as a teacher gift?
A: Yes. A teacher's own name on the cover makes it a personal gift, and ruled pages keep it useful for lesson planning.
