The story behind this design
The label treats a name as a dictionary entry, setting it in the form of a definition rather than just printing it large. That turns a gift into a small piece of writing about the person. It reads as considered because the joke is affectionate rather than at anyone’s expense, and it works equally well for a parent or a friend.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How does the personalization work?
A: You type the name you want on the product page before adding the candle to the cart. The name in the listing images is a sample, not a fixed part of the label.
Q: What sizes and jars are offered?
A: The candle comes in 4oz and 9oz, in either an amber jar with a black lid or a clear jar with a black lid.
Q: What scents can I choose?
A: Nine: Vanilla Bean, Comfort Spice, Sea Breeze, Honeysuckle, Eucalyptus Lavender Herb, Spiced Pumpkin Ginger, Fresh Balsam, Pink Grapefruit, and Unscented.
Q: Is there an option without fragrance?
A: Yes. Unscented is one of the nine scent options, which suits anyone sensitive to fragrance.
Q: What is the wax?
A: The candle is poured in soy wax.
Care
Trim the wick to about a quarter of an inch before each lighting, which keeps the flame small and the glass clean. Burn the candle on a level, heat-safe surface away from drafts, curtains and anything else that can catch. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and stop burning once about half an inch of wax is left in the jar.
