The story behind this design
Peonies suit a skinny tumbler because the heads are big enough to stay legible when the surface curves away. These are painted wet, petals bleeding into one another at the center and drying to a harder edge at the rim, in a blush that drops to a deep rose in the throat. Foliage is kept loose and behind, and a clear band is left on one side of the wrap so a name can sit on open ground rather than over the flowers.
